First Kiss Critique
This painting is called First Kiss, by Adolphe William Bouguereau. The painting is of two angels and the boy angel is kissing the girl, they look as if they have a significant but at the same time subtle relationship. Bouguereau painted this in 1873. This painting is sold all around the world and you can basically find it anywhere.
In the painting the focal point is the two young angels kissing. There are earth tones used in the angels but most of the colors are bright colors. The field is the cloud- like background in, it symbolizes comfort and relaxation. This image is really peaceful and soothing.
This is a painting of love, the two angels show new, young love. These angels are in heaven, they are destined to be together. Their innocence is beautiful and their fondness towards each other is obvious. These angels are innocently in love.
